Celebrate Father Thomas's
30th Anniversary This Weekend!
He said to them, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15
On December 27th, Fr. Thomas Joseph fulfilled 30 years of bringing God's word to all.
We the people of St. Edward will thank Fr. Thomas and celebrate his faithful ministry on January 12, 2025 (Hospitality Sunday) in the PLC after the 7:30AM, 9:30AM and 11:30AM morning Masses. The 5:30PM Saturday and 5:00PM Sunday Masses can leave their cards and good wishes on the table in the Narthex.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
This Sunday during the 9:30 AM Mass, we will host our next CLOW gathering. Children ages 5-8 (Kinder-3rd grade) are invited to join us in the chapel after the opening prayer to experience the Liturgy of the Word. They will hear the readings, pray with others, and the ministry leaders will break open the word so that they can understand it at a developmentally appropriate level. Parents of little ones are welcome to join. Save the dates for the next two: January 12th and January 26th.
We would like to grow our team to include three adults and three teens for each Sunday. Interested in joining this ministry? Please contact Eileen Hubbard for information at ehubbard@saintedward.org.
Let Us Pray...
We have over 100 children and teens who have been preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. And we have over 70 teens who have been preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. These sacramental celebrations will take place this month.
Let us unite our hearts and pray for each of these parishioners that they may encounter Jesus Christ in new and intimate ways. May their hearts be opened to the sacramental graces that they will receive and may they be strengthened as they grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
KofC Free Throw Competition
It is time for the annual Knights of Columbus Council 14512 free throw competition and there is no cost to compete. See all the details below!

Where: St. Edward Gym
Who: Boys and Girls 9-14 (age as of Jan 1st)
A copy of their birth certificate is required.
Time: Registration at 9:00AM with council competition at 9:30AM
Welcome Our New
Business Manager
We are pleased to welcome Reneé Nunez as the new Business Manager for St. Edward Catholic Church. With over 30 years of experience in leadership and strategic planning within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Reneé brings a wealth of knowledge to our community.
Most recently, she served as the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Excellence, where she supported schools, including St. Edward, and led initiatives in academic excellence, assessment, and professional development. Prior to that, Reneé was the founding principal of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, where she grew enrollment and developed programs that helped the school earn the U.S. Department of Education National Blue Ribbon Award.
Reneé is known for her leadership, her deep commitment to the mission of the Church, and her dedication to fostering positive and collaborative work environments. She is excited to bring her expertise in finance, human resources, and stewardship to support our parish and school community.
Renee’ enjoys time spent with family, including her husband, children, and grandchildren. She and her husband, Chip, live in Tomball and are newly registered parishioners at St. Edward. Please join us in welcoming Reneé to St. Edward as our Business Manager!
