We have received a generous donation to benefit the children of our parish. Beginning the first weekend in January, children will receive a copy of MagnifiKid for them to use during the Mass and for families to take home. Adults with children at home, we highly encourage you to use this resource as a way to reflect and continue our Catholic faith as a family.
Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
In honor of the giving of your time and talents, all adults who serve in a ministry of the parish and their spouses are cordially invited to our Annual Ministry Appreciation Dinner on Friday, January 19th at 6:00pm in the Parish Life Center. We would like to show our appreciation to all — so whether you are a Lector, EMHC, Usher, Catechist, Chaperone, Choir Member, Parish Council Member, Finance Board Member or volunteer in any other capacity, please join us for food, fun, and fellowship. Sign up sheets are in the Narthex or you may call the Pastoral Office at 281-353-9774.
Join the Pastoral Council
St. Edward Catholic Church and the Holy Spirit are looking for energetic, organized, and welcoming individuals to join the Pastoral Council. Do you feel called to take an active role in fostering and developing St. Edward in partnership with Father Christian? Pastoral Council members are chosen through a discernment process and the requirements for nomination includes being a registered member of St. Edward and a practicing Catholic 18 years of age or older. Current Pastoral Council members will contact nominees, answer any questions, and invite them to a formal discernment process on January 27th. At that time, through a prayerful process, three new pastoral council members will be discerned. These members will serve a three year term on the Council. We will call for nominations during Masses on January 13th and 14th.
Vocation Rosary
On January 8, 2024 at 7:00 pm, the Vocation Ministry will be joined by the Knights of Columbus in the PLC to pray a rosary for an increase of vocations.
Please plan to attend and pray with us.
KofC Free Throw Competition
It is time for the annual Knights of Columbus Council 14512 free throw competition.
When: Saturday, January 27, 2024
Where: St. Edward Gym
Who: Boys and Girls ages 9-14 (age as of Jan 1st)
A copy of the child's birth certificate is required.
Time: Registration at 8:30AM with council competition at 9:00AM
Fee: There is no cost to compete
Please note council winners will compete for District level at 11:00AM.

Ages 9, 10, & 11 (Boys & Girls Competitions)- Women’s regulation size basketball and regulation 12ft foul line.
Ages 12, 13, & 14 (Girls Competitions)- Women’s regulation size basketball and regulation 15ft line.
Ages 12, 13, & 14 (Boys Competitions)- Men’s regulation size basketball and regulation 15ft line.

Heaven Bound Book Club
